God helps those who help themselves There is an amusing story that illustrates the national character. There were four students in an English tutorial group at an American college. an American, an Englishman, a German, and an Indian. The tutor asked them to write an essay on "The Camel ". The American chartered a plane and flew to the Sahara to photograph the camel and collect first-hand information about it. The Englishman started writing there and then. The German went to a library to read all he could about the subject so as to make complete preparations for writing the essay. the Indian went to his room, sat down, folded his hands, closed his eyes, and prayed to God to write the essay for him. We are only too prone to depend upon God or someone else for carrying out our tasks. That is why we see so very little work or no work done around us.
